The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council has launched a new edition of its 'Calle Joven' program during April, focusing on preventing risky behaviors in adolescence through free workshops and activities.

This municipal initiative, designed for young people aged 10 to 16 residing in Torrejón de Ardoz, offers a diverse range of activities, from study support to sports, cultural, and artistic endeavors. Among the proposals are a circus juggling workshop and popular board games like 'Uno' or 'Jungle Speed'.
The main objective of 'Calle Joven' is to address potential imbalances in adolescents across personal, academic, family, and social spheres. The program targets both young people without risk factors and those facing emotional, affective, or academic difficulties, as well as maladaptive behaviors or family environment issues.

"Adolescence is a decisive stage in the development and consolidation of an individual's personality."

Sessions are held at the Rafael Alberti Cultural Center on Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additionally, activities take place in public spaces such as streets and parks, offering healthy sports and leisure alternatives. Each session is accompanied by two social educators and a sociocultural animator, who provide both individual and group support.
To prevent risky behaviors, the program aims to equip participating adolescents with effective tools for conflict resolution among peers, through preventive street interventions and individualized attention for minors and their families.
