More than 6,000 students from 25 educational centers in Torrejón de Ardoz participated in the 26th edition of the School Literary Contest, culminating in the publication of two books featuring the best works.

A total of 6,073 students from the town joined this cultural initiative, which selected 285 outstanding texts. Of these, 140 are poems and 145 are short stories, all compiled into two publications edited by the Department of Education of the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council.
The awards ceremony took place last Wednesday at the José Antonio Paraíso Pavilion. The event was attended by various municipal authorities, including the mayor, the first deputy mayor, and the councilor for Education, Welfare, and Immigration, along with other council members from the Municipal Corporation.

"I want to thank all the students, teachers, and directors for their collaboration in this new edition of the contest, in which we combine culture and education, and congratulate the selected students due to the quality, level, and high participation of this initiative."

In addition to individual recognitions, 12 educational centers were awarded for achieving 100% participation of their students in the contest. This activity is part of the celebrations for the Month of Letters and coincided with International Book Day, commemorated on April 23 in honor of universal literary figures such as William Shakespeare, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, and Miguel de Cervantes.
