The bull runs will be one of the main attractions of the Torrejón de Ardoz 2026 Popular Festivals. The program includes three events with fighting bulls, one of them scheduled for the early hours of Friday, June 19, at 00:01. The festivities will continue on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, with two morning runs at 11:00. Entry to the Plaza de Toros will be free for all three events until capacity is reached, and each will feature two herd releases.
The route for the bull runs will take place along Río Tormes street, Travesía Río Jarama, the intersection with the Carretera de Loeches, and Minotauro, concluding at the Plaza de Toros. After the Friday night run and the two weekend runs, there will be releases of bulls.
The younger participants will also have their own space. On Saturday and Sunday, following the main bull runs, children's bull runs with toy bulls will be held starting at 12:30. The start will be from the barriers on Telémaco street, covering the final stretch of the bulls' route.
The City Council has reminded attendees of the inherent risks of these events and has established safety measures. Participation of minors in the bull runs or their presence in the Plaza de Toros without an adult is prohibited. Failure to comply with this rule could result in fines of €360 for parents or legal guardians.
Additionally, throwing firecrackers or rockets during the festivities and attempting to lure the cattle from the barriers with capes, jackets, or other objects is forbidden. The Local Police will conduct preventive breathalyzer tests before the start of the bull runs.
The 2026 Bullfighting Fair will complement the bull runs with three major events and a bull-trimming competition. On Saturday, June 20, at 19:30, there will be a rejoneo (bullfight on horseback) with bulls from Los Espartales and El Canario for Andy Cartagena, Leonardo Hernández, and Sebastián Fernández.
On Sunday, June 21, at the same time, bulls from Castillejo de Huebra will be fought by Miguel Ángel Perera, Rafael de Julia, and David de Miranda. The fair will continue on Monday, June 22, with a bullfight featuring bulls from El Pilar, with the participation of Alejandro Talavante, Juan Ortega, and Víctor Hernández. The bullfighting program will conclude on Tuesday, June 23, with a bull-trimming competition.
