Torrejón de Ardoz benefits from the activity of TAFADMadrid, a national Vocational Training center focused on physical-sports activities, which has driven the creation of 50 jobs in the town. The mayor, Alejandro Navarro, visited the facilities to learn firsthand about its educational and training work.
During his visit, the mayor observed the practical training received by hundreds of young people in areas such as sports, health, and physical activity. TAFADMadrid's facilities include a climbing wall, a training room, a choreography room, two sports halls, and multipurpose classrooms equipped for training sessions.
Navarro congratulated the center's director for nearly 10 years of trajectory in Torrejón de Ardoz, emphasizing the importance of initiatives like TAFADMadrid in consolidating the city as a leader in promoting sports and healthy lifestyles. The City Council reaffirms its support for such projects that generate employment and wealth, especially in a key year following Torrejón's recognition as European City of Sport 2026.

Its catalog includes the on-site Intermediate Vocational Training Certificate in Nature and Leisure Guide, as well as Higher Vocational Training Certificates in Teaching and Sports Animation and Physical Conditioning, available in on-site and virtual formats. It also offers the virtual Higher Vocational Training Certificate in Dietetics.
A distinctive feature of TAFADMadrid is its teaching staff, composed of professionals with extensive experience, including active and high-level athletes, which allows students to combine academic training with practical experiences in professional sports.
