A special National Police operation in Torrejón de Ardoz, during an electronic music festival on May 1st, led to the arrest of 22 individuals and the recovery of numerous stolen items.

The operation, which involved over 150 officers, took place at the Torrejón de Ardoz Fairgrounds, a 70,000-square-meter venue that hosted more than 40,000 attendees. Officers were strategically positioned at access points, exits, and the perimeter of the venue to ensure public safety.
During the police action, 60 mobile phones, 25 wallets, and a high-end vehicle were recovered. The car had been stolen days earlier in a town in the province of Málaga and was located in one of the parking areas of the festival's VIP zone.

"A criminal group traveled to Torrejón de Ardoz to operate, taking advantage of the event's conditions."

According to the National Police, members of this group used pepper spray to disorient their victims and snatch jewelry, particularly gold chains, using the 'snatch-and-run' method. In addition to violent robberies, arrests were made for theft and public health offenses.
The operation also led to the arrest of two other individuals involved in mobile phone theft, highlighting the effectiveness of the police action at a high-attendance event.
