Oldest Bicycle Shop in Torrejón de Ardoz Celebrates 72 Years

Bicicletas Pedro Martin 'Pichin', the oldest bicycle shop in Torrejón de Ardoz, has been congratulated on its 72nd anniversary, highlighting its long history and specialization in classic bicycle maintenance.

The business, which first opened its doors in 1953, has maintained its essence over the decades, offering specialized sales and repair services for bicycles. It is currently located at number 27 on Soledad Street, where it has been for six decades, after initially operating on Ajalvir Street.
The Mayor of Torrejón de Ardoz visited the establishment to acknowledge its contribution to local commerce. During his tour, he was accompanied by the manager, who showed him the facilities and the in-house repair shop, known for its dedication to classic bicycles.

The founder of the business was also a key figure in the Torrejón de Ardoz Cycling Club, serving as a founding member, secretary, mechanic, and board member. This connection to local cycling has shaped the shop's identity.
In addition to bicycles, the establishment offers a variety of products including apparel, accessories, and sports nutrition items. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:30, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
