Man Dies from Electric Shock in Transformer Station in Torrejón de Ardoz

A man around 35 years old has died after suffering a high-voltage electrocution while working at the facility.

A man, approximately 35 years old, died this Monday after suffering a high-voltage electric shock at a mutual insurance company's transformer station in Torrejón de Ardoz.

The incident occurred around 3:30 PM at the facilities located on Calle Primavera, in the Las Monjas industrial park, where a power outage had been reported.
Emergency services, including firefighters from the Community of Madrid, agents from the National Police and the Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz, as well as medical personnel from SUMMA 112, were dispatched to the scene.
Once the power supply was confirmed to be cut off, firefighters rescued the man, who was found unconscious and had suffered cardiac arrest as a result of the electric shock.
Medical services at the scene could only confirm the man's death. The National Police has taken charge of the investigation into the incident.
