The National Police have dismantled a drug den in Alcalá de Henares, seizing 400 grams of cocaine and 10,110 euros in cash as part of an operation against drug selling points in the Community of Madrid.

As part of a comprehensive operation against drug selling points in the Community of Madrid, the National Police have dismantled a drug den in Alcalá de Henares. This operation, carried out over the last two months, has led to the closure of 22 selling points and the arrest of 50 people in total.
The specific intervention in Alcalá de Henares took place on May 20th. Officers searched a property that was functioning as a black spot for the illegal sale of narcotic substances. During the search, 400 grams of cocaine, 10,110 euros in cash, precision scales, and various materials for drug dealing and distribution were seized.
As a result of this action, two individuals, a man and a woman, were arrested as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking. The operation is part of a broader offensive by the National Police that has covered Madrid districts such as Tetuán, Moratalaz, Villaverde, Centro, Arganzuela, Latina, Carabanchel, and Fuencarral, as well as Cañada Real and the municipalities of Alcalá de Henares and Fuenlabrada.
Among other notable interventions in this offensive are the recovery of two occupied properties, which were returned to their owners after dismantling facilities for marijuana cultivation. Another drug selling point was also located, hidden in the foundations of a building, accessed via a trapdoor connected to a ground-floor apartment.
The Superior Headquarters of the Madrid Police has emphasized its commitment to providing an effective and forceful response against these types of crimes. So far in 2026, the National Police have dismantled over 90 drug dens throughout the Community of Madrid.
