Cyclist Seriously Injured After Fall in Alcalá de Henares

A 74-year-old cyclist has been hospitalized in serious condition after suffering a fall on the Zulema road in Alcalá de Henares and being resuscitated by emergency services.

The incident occurred this Thursday around 5:00 PM, as the man was riding his bicycle. Emergency services received the alert and, upon arrival at the scene, found the cyclist in cardiorespiratory arrest with a severe traumatic brain injury.

A witness to the accident initiated initial resuscitation maneuvers, which were subsequently continued by the Summa 112 medical team using advanced techniques, successfully reversing the arrest. Once stabilized and intubated, the injured man was evacuated by helicopter to Hospital 12 de Octubre, where he remains in serious condition.
Initial reports suggest that no other vehicles were involved in the incident, indicating the fall was a solitary accident.
