The initiative aims to combat age-related stereotypes, encourage contact between generations, and boost the active participation of older people in local life.
The congress, under the slogan 'Transforming Together!', brought together specialists, administrations, and representatives from different countries to discuss strategies for creating more inclusive and accessible urban environments for all age groups.
The City Council highlighted that this participation reinforces the municipality's position as a benchmark in active aging policies. Coslada has been part of the Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities since 2018.
