The Coslada City Council has launched two new employment plans, funded by the Community of Madrid, which will allow the hiring of 27 unemployed people from the municipality, with a focus on training and job placement for young people and those over 45.

These initiatives aim to offer a job opportunity that goes beyond temporary contracts, integrating training, practical experience, and essential tools to facilitate re-entry into the job market.
One of the programs, part of the Youth Employment Promotion Program, plans to incorporate 15 unemployed young people into the construction and civil engineering sector. Participants will be hired under an alternating training model, combining real work with specific training for ten months, from July 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. During this period, they will work on municipal projects and receive training to qualify as maintenance specialists or bricklayers.
In addition to training, the itinerary includes personalized guidance, active job search support, job offer prospecting, and self-employment advice. To participate, young people must be registered as job seekers at the Employment Office, be under 30 years old, be part of the National Youth Guarantee System, and not have prior professional qualification in the offered occupation. Candidate selection will be managed by the Coslada Employment Office.
The second program, called Professional Activation, is primarily aimed at unemployed people over 45, a group that often faces greater difficulties in rejoining the labor market. The City Council will hire 12 people for eight months, divided into six gardening specialists and six bricklaying specialists. Unlike the youth program, this initiative requires participants to have prior professional qualification in the corresponding occupation.
Interested individuals must be registered as unemployed at the Employment Office and possess the required qualification. Although age is not an exclusionary requirement, priority will be given to those over 45. With these plans, Coslada strengthens its active employment policy, combining hiring, training, and practical experience in useful services for the city, aiming for these contracts to be a starting point towards a more secure professional future.
