The festive day, which took place between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, featured around thirty activities designed to raise awareness about the consequences of war on children. The chosen slogan for this edition was ‘Right to grow up in peace: childhood does not cause wars but suffers them the most’.
Twenty-five social and sports entities from the city, along with various municipal departments, collaborated in organizing the event. The gathering, with a recreational focus, also aimed to foster reflection on the reality of minors affected by war conflicts.
Attendees received 'passports' that were stamped at the different activity booths. Upon collecting eight stamps, children could receive a small gift at the Children and Youth Department's tent. Additionally, a raffle for tickets to a theater performance was held among those who completed their passports.
Various departments contributed specific activities: Health offered healthy breakfasts, Citizen Participation promoted the creation of peace bookmarks, Education organized a peace Gymkhana, and Equality and Diversity presented a puppet show. Bomberos Unidos sin Fronteras (Firefighters Without Borders) demonstrated water purification and cooled down attendees with a hose.
Traditional games were also revived under the name 'Unplugged Games'. The Clara Campoamor Women's Association and the CEDIP Séneca Parents' Association collaborated on a peace mural using recycled CDs, built by the children themselves.
