Paving work on the roadways of the parking lot and access roads to the Coslada-San Fernando station will last for about a week, during which vehicles will not be able to access or park within the premises. This initiative, driven by the municipal government, involves an investment exceeding two million euros and is part of the Paving and Signaling Renovation Plan.
As a result of these works, affected bus lines will temporarily relocate their stops to Avenida de San Pablo. The primary goal of these interventions is to improve the condition of the most deteriorated roads in the town, both in residential areas and at crucial traffic points.
“"With this Plan, many problems currently occurring in city neighborhoods whose asphalt has suffered greater wear and tear due to different circumstances will be eliminated."
Mayor Ángel Viveros highlighted that the intervention will cover a total area of over 101,000 square meters. The plan includes milling operations, application of adhesion irrigation, correction of manhole covers and grates, and repair of depressions in areas where necessary.
“"The objective is that, in a few months, another Plan with the same goal will be launched, benefiting a significant number of other streets."
Concurrently, other parallel actions are being carried out, such as network setbacks, intersection adjustments, and specific route modifications. Horizontal signaling will also be replaced on various municipal roads, covering a total length of over 37,000 linear meters. This plan was developed after a thorough technical evaluation of the road network, conducted by municipal officials from the Roads and Works Area of the Department of Territorial Policy.
Although the current plan will continue for the next few weeks, a second project with the same objective is already underway, for which a budget allocation exceeding four million euros will be provided. This second plan is expected to be implemented between September and October.
