The fire originated around 1:30 PM outside the facility, located on Perú Street in the Azque industrial park. A dozen fire brigades were dispatched to the scene, focusing their efforts on stopping the fire's spread and securing the affected area.
Images captured by the Special Drone Group (GED) of the Community of Madrid Firefighters confirmed the intensity of the blaze in the external areas of the plant. Operations concentrated on cooling down the burning piles of pressed cardboard and paper.
According to Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid, the flames primarily affected large accumulations of pressed cardboard and paper stored outdoors, generating a dense column of smoke visible from several kilometers away.
Currently, there are no indications that the fire reached the interior of the facility. No injuries or people affected by smoke inhalation have been reported, although a Summa 112 medical team was preventively mobilized. National Police and Local Police units also participated in the operation, assisting with security and perimeter control.
