The Alcalá de Henares City Council will allocate 450,000 euros to renovate the artificial turf on two football fields, one for 7-a-side football on Paseo de Aguadores and another for 11-a-side football on C/ Cogolludo.

The Local Government Board of the Alcalá de Henares City Council has approved the tender documents for the contracting of an artificial turf system through a renting modality. The estimated investment amounts to 450,000 euros and will be allocated to the sports facilities located at Paseo de Aguadores, number s/n, and C/ Cogolludo, number 2.
As explained by the Councilor for Sports, Lola López, this is a "very necessary action that will improve the conditions for practicing sports." The tender documents include the removal of the current artificial turf and elements such as goals, corner flags, and benches, for their subsequent reinstallation once the work is completed.
The necessary work includes mechanical aspects, as well as the supply and installation of the new artificial turf, along with the irrigation and water drainage system to ensure the proper maintenance of the surfaces.
This turf replacement follows similar actions previously carried out by the municipal government at the Jorge Ángel González Vivas municipal football field and the municipal football field in Espartales.
