The Department of Public Works and Urban Maintenance of Alcalá de Henares has launched a new initiative within the Urban Maintenance Plan, focusing on the BRIPAC roundabout, specifically on the municipal section connecting to the A2 bridge.
This plan, with a total budget of 550,000 euros, aims to carry out small maintenance and repair works on roadways, sidewalks, and other public infrastructure elements. The interventions are designed to increase safety, accessibility, and mobility in various parts of the city.
Following previous work on streets such as Alalpardo, Paseo de Pastrana, Dámaso Alonso, Carmen Descalzo, and Santiago, the current focus is on the aforementioned roundabout. The road surface will be repaired in the most deteriorated areas, affected by heavy vehicle traffic, to optimize circulation conditions and enhance road safety at one of the city's key access points.
The works are expected to take place over the next few days. During this period, there may be occasional disruptions to traffic and bus services, which will be properly signposted to minimize inconvenience to drivers.

Antonio Saldaña, Councilor for Public Works and Urban Maintenance, emphasized that the Urban Maintenance Plan prioritizes areas with the most wear and tear from continuous use or high traffic intensity. The goal is to act quickly to extend the lifespan of municipal infrastructure and prevent more significant deterioration.
