The Plaza de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares will become the epicenter of the World Cup final celebration this Sunday, July 19, with the installation of a giant screen.

The Alcalá de Henares City Council has organized a sports day for residents and visitors to follow the match live in the heart of the city. The giant screen will be located next to the Capilla del Oidor.
The celebration will include music, entertainment, and various surprises to create a festive atmosphere before the match. The Councilor for Festivals and Popular Traditions, Antonio Saldaña, has encouraged Alcalá residents to enjoy the event and support the national team, recalling similar moments experienced two years ago with the Eurocup final.
Saldaña highlighted that the Plaza de Cervantes will once again be the stage for a great collective celebration, where sports will serve to unite thousands of residents around the national team. Access to the square will be free until capacity is reached, and before the match, a DJ will liven up the pre-game with music for all audiences.
To ensure safety, the Security Department has designed a special operation with 26 Local Police officers, 15 Civil Protection volunteers, a basic life support ambulance, a field hospital, and the Drone Unit. Additionally, the city's main fountains will be cordoned off to prevent incidents.
The City Council has also prepared an urgent cleaning operation that will act before and after the event to prepare the Plaza de Cervantes and its surroundings, ensuring normality after the celebration.
Attendees are invited to arrive in advance and enjoy the day responsibly, making the Plaza de Cervantes the heart of this sporting celebration.
