Alcalá de Henares celebrates 'Noches del Patio' with dance and flamenco

The cultural cycle features performances by local and national dance companies from August 23rd to 29th, with tickets on sale from August 18th.

The Patio de Santo Tomás de Villanueva in Alcalá de Henares will host the 'Noches del Patio' (Courtyard Nights) from August 23rd to 29th, a series featuring various dance and flamenco companies.

The Ballet Flamenco de Cristian Pérez will open the cycle on Sunday, August 23rd, with their show ‘Flamencos´. They will be followed by the Compañía de Danza Española Camino de Vuelta on Monday, August 24th, with ‘Danza y Palabra’, and Esquivel on Tuesday, August 25th, with ‘En un lugar de la Danza’.
On Wednesday, August 26th, the Ballet Albéniz will present “El Quijote En Clave De Mujer – Suite Flamenco. On Thursday, August 27th, the Cía. de Danza de Azucena Rodríguez will perform ‘Raíces en movimiento’, and on Friday, August 28th, Ensemble Sapere Aude Juventudes Musicales de Alcalá De Henares presents “España Pintoresca”. Saturday, August 29th, the cycle concludes with the Compañía de Danza de Pilar Barbancho and their show “El Vestidor Del Maestro”.
The Councilor for Festivals and Popular Traditions, Antonio Saldaña, highlighted the focus on local artists and renowned national groups, stating that the cycle is a "sure bet" that receives a great public response each year, consistently selling out all performances.
Tickets for the shows, all starting at 10:00 PM, will go on sale this Tuesday, August 18th. The special box office hours on August 18th will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and online sales at culturalcala.com will be available from 2:00 PM on the same day. For other days, the usual box office hours will apply.
