The Local Government Board of the Alcalá de Henares City Council has approved the guidelines for participation in the 2026 Cervantes Market, which will take place from October 8 to 12.

Interested parties can submit their applications until July 22, 2026. Submissions can be made through the council's electronic headquarters, by appointment, or at municipal registries and district boards, in accordance with Law 39/2015.
These guidelines prioritize local commerce, targeting individuals registered in the municipality or those who own a business in Alcalá de Henares. Three participation categories are established: artisans, pre-prepared foods, and food service.
To complete the registration, applicants must submit the filled-out and signed application form, their ID/CIF, a photograph of the stall, the census declaration for the Economic Activities Tax with a minimum start date of January 1, 2026, or a copy of the establishment's opening license, along with the required annexes available on the municipal website.
The maximum number of permitted stalls will be 65: 12 for food service, 35 for artisans, and 18 for pre-prepared products.
The selection of participants will be based on criteria of suitability, sustainability, Cervantes-themed aesthetics, and product uniqueness.
