“"The most important thing about these tournaments is not just the prizes, but everything behind them: meeting, participating, spending time, and continuing to make the centers spaces full of life. And this is possible, to a large extent, thanks to the commitment and work of the senior associations, to whom we want to especially thank for their involvement."

More than one hundred senior citizens participated in various board game tournaments in Coslada, held at the Primavera, La Rambla, and La Cañada centers, to mark the International Day of Older Persons.
The special program for the International Day of Older Persons in Coslada included the celebration of various board game tournaments, with over a hundred participants. The Primavera Senior Center hosted frog and domino games; La Rambla featured tute and mus competitions; and La Cañada held a subastado tournament.
These activities, organized by the senior associations themselves, saw wide participation and great enthusiasm. The associations play a fundamental role in revitalizing the centers, creating spaces for coexistence and leisure.
Charo Arroyo, the Delegate Councilor for Social Services and Seniors, highlighted the associations' involvement, noting that the participation of over a hundred people demonstrates the desire of older adults to remain active and be part of city life. She added that the City Council aims to support and facilitate this participation throughout the year.
The event served to recognize the winners of the competitions and, above all, to celebrate the participation of all the seniors involved and the work carried out by the organizing associations.
