The Local Police of Coslada, through its Family Care Unit (UAF), participated in Valencia in the national congress organized by the FEMP, the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs, and the National Association of Tutors (ANAT). The meeting served to share experiences and intervention models related to the 'Police Tutor' figure.

Participation in this forum represents an opportunity for the development and consolidation of the UAF of Coslada, reinforcing its role in prevention, child protection, family support, and collaboration with the educational community. During the congress, proposals for action, work tools, and coordination strategies among police forces, educational centers, social services, and other organizations involved in the protection of children and adolescents were presented.
One of the main objectives was to identify best practices and gather initiatives that can be implemented in Coslada, adapting them to local needs. Furthermore, collaboration with the Local Police of San Fernando de Henares, also present at the congress, was strengthened to exchange knowledge and seek common lines of work that improve the effectiveness of preventive actions and coordination between neighboring municipalities.
The UAF of Coslada considers it fundamental to continue supporting a policing model based on proximity, prevention, early detection of risk situations, and coordinated intervention, prioritizing the well-being and protection of minors. Attendance at the congress represents a further step in the commitment of the Local Police of Coslada to continuous training and updating procedures to offer an increasingly specialized and effective public service.
The Family Care Unit will continue working to transform the acquired knowledge and experiences into new improvement proposals that directly impact the safety, coexistence, and well-being of the minors and families of Coslada.
