The Local Police of Alcalá de Henares has announced a traffic closure on Daoiz y Velarde street, lasting two weeks, due to renovation works on the Vía Complutense collector.

The measure, which came into effect on Wednesday, April 22, affects the section of Daoiz y Velarde street between the intersection with Luis Astrana Marín and Moral street. These actions are part of a strategic plan to modernize the city's sanitation network.
The project involves an investment of nearly 3.2 million euros, funded through the Regional Investment Program of the Community of Madrid. The works will be carried out in two phases and will also include lowering the roundabout pavement to level it with the rest of the road.
The traffic cut applies to the direction towards the City Center. However, the direction towards Daganzo Avenue will remain open and will become a two-way street to facilitate mobility in the area, as reported by the Local Police.
Traffic will be diverted via clearly marked alternative routes, mainly channeled through adjacent roads. Public transport lines will not be affected by these works and will maintain their usual routes.

"We recommend drivers plan their journeys, respect temporary signage, and exercise extreme caution in the vicinity of the affected area."

the Local Police
The Local Police has thanked the cooperation of residents and road users, and has apologized for any inconvenience that may arise during the development of these works, which will last for two weeks.
