This process, driven by the Departments of Festivals and Popular Traditions and Citizen Participation and Districts, was presented at the Capuchinos Auditorium by councilors Antonio Saldaña and Esther de Andrés.

Residents and various associations have the opportunity to submit their proposals through a form available on the municipal website. This platform allows participants to detail their initiatives and the needs for their development, which will be evaluated by municipal technical staff.
“"This participatory process is something that has already been carried out in the different districts of the city during the organization of their festivals, and which we have now wanted to extend to the entire Fairs and Festivals, with the aim of making them even more open, representative, and built by everyone."
The deadline for submitting these suggestions is May 4, 2026. The City Council encourages all citizens to get involved to build festivities that reflect the vitality and diversity of Alcalá de Henares.
