The city of Alcalá de Henares will commemorate a new edition of the Hornazo Alcalaíno on Monday, April 6, a deeply rooted tradition that will bring together residents and visitors at the esplanade of the Virgen del Val hermitage.

The event, scheduled between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, will offer a festive open-air atmosphere, designed for all audiences and focused on community togetherness. The day's activities are supported by the Alcalá de Henares City Council.
The main highlight of the gathering will be a free popular snack, featuring the traditional Hornazo Alcalaíno, prepared by Iván Plademunt, along with hot chocolate and sweets. A gluten-free option will also be available while supplies last. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own snacks to complement the offerings.
Various local groups will entertain the afternoon with cultural performances. Participants include the Casa Regional Castilla-La Mancha with its dance group «Quintería», the Alcalá Dulzainas Group, the «Pliego de Cordel» Cultural Association, the Belén Rodríguez Dance School, the dulzainas group from the Centro de Castilla y León, and the Coro y Rondalla del Henares.
Additionally, traditional children's games have been planned to ensure that the youngest attendees can also fully enjoy this festive day, reinforcing the family and community spirit of the Hornazo Alcalaíno.
