Easter Week in Alcalá de Henares, declared a National Tourist Interest Festival, concluded its 2026 edition with a very favorable tourism balance, highlighting good weather and a high influx of visitors that exceeded expectations.
Despite a cold start, the final days of the festival brought pleasant weather, significantly contributing to its success. Although official confirmation from the INE regarding hotel occupancy is pending, preliminary data already indicates a high number of reservations and strong demand in local restaurants.
The people counting system in the historic center and tourist resources of the city, implemented since the previous year, has allowed for the quantification of visitor numbers. Good Friday, which fell on April 3rd this year, recorded a peak of over 60,000 entries to the historic center, reaching an exact figure of 60,566 people, a number comparable to the city's busiest days.
