The highly anticipated Parla Norte Commuter Rail station, part of line C-4, is on the verge of opening, following a visit by Mayor Ramón Jurado and local residents, marking a significant milestone for the town's connectivity.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Ramón Jurado, the mayor of Parla, visited the new Parla Norte Commuter Rail station. He was accompanied by local residents, council members from both the Government team and other parties, as well as representatives from the Plataforma C-4, a group that has championed this infrastructure for many years. The tour was guided by staff from Adif and the construction company Ortiz.
In a video shared on his social media, the mayor highlighted the symbolic nature of the moment, emphasizing that the station is the culmination of a long-standing public demand. The launch of this infrastructure addresses a historical need, aiming to optimize Parla's rail connection with the rest of the region.

"Very soon we will be able to start using this much-needed station for our city."

The new station, strategically located in the northeast of the municipality, between the Getafe Sector 3 and Parla stations, is projected to serve over 14,000 daily users. A functional study by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility estimates it will save travelers a total of 900 hours per day, making it a crucial point for mobility in southern Madrid.
According to the project, the passenger building will span approximately 900 square meters on a single floor, featuring a central lobby, a commercial area, and spaces dedicated to user services and technical facilities. Its design prioritizes natural light and thermal comfort. The station will have two platforms, each 210 meters long, connected by an accessible underground passage with elevators, escalators, and fixed stairs. Furthermore, it will be prepared to connect with the Parla tram and other sustainable transport options.
Additionally, the infrastructure will include a car park with 60 spaces, equipped with charging points for electric vehicles, a quick drop-off zone, and designated areas for taxis and buses. A second park-and-ride facility will be added, along with a new road access from the M-408 highway, enhancing overall accessibility to the station.
