The Procession of the Encounter, recognized as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, will mark the conclusion of Holy Week celebrations in Móstoles this Sunday, featuring the convergence of the images of the Risen Christ and the Virgin of Solitude in Cuatro Caminos square.

This event, one of the most symbolic of the religious program, will take place in the municipality's streets. Before Easter Sunday, the faithful can keep vigil over the Recumbent Christ on Holy Saturday, between 09:00 and 13:00, at the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
At the same church, the 'Office of Shadows' will be held at 10:00, followed by the 'Solemn Easter Vigil' at 22:00, an act commemorating one of the central mysteries of Christian faith.
The Procession of the Encounter, scheduled for April 5, will see the images of the Risen Christ and Nuestra Señora de la Soledad depart at 10:15 from their respective temples. The Risen Christ will leave from the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Santos, accompanied by the Musical Group Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno, while the Virgin of Solitude will depart from the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, with music from the Banda La Estrella.
Both processions will follow separate routes until they meet at 11:00 in Cuatro Caminos square. After this emotional encounter, which includes three descents to the ground of the images, the Virgin of Solitude will shed her mourning cloak to wear a white one, symbolizing the resurrection of Christ.
Subsequently, at 12:00, the Solemn Easter Mass will be celebrated in Pradillo square. Finally, the images will return to their temples, concluding Holy Week in Móstoles. The city has implemented accessibility measures, such as a reserved area for people with reduced mobility and a grandstand on Dos de Mayo avenue, to facilitate participation in these events.
