The incident, which occurred in the early morning of April 3, 2026, mobilized emergency teams after a fire broke out in an area of shanties and warehouses. Upon the arrival of the personnel, the flames were already well advanced, exacerbated by the large amount of accumulated materials on site, which facilitated their rapid spread.
The intervention of the Community of Madrid Fire Department was crucial in controlling the blaze and preventing it from extending to other nearby structures, thereby minimizing the risk of greater material and personal damage.
“"The rapid intervention of the firefighters allowed the fire to be controlled and prevented its spread to other shanties and nearby warehouses."
Although SUMMA 112 deployed a preventive device in the area, medical attention was not required for anyone, as no injuries were reported. The National Police has initiated an investigation to determine the causes that originated the fire.
