Athlete Naiala Pedro Pérez, a resident of San Sebastián de los Reyes, has won the gold medal at the Spanish U20 Athletics Championship, excelling in the 200-meter dash and setting a new record.

Naiala Pedro's victory, at just 18 years old, in the championship held in Sabadell on March 20 and 21, places San Sebastián de los Reyes on the national athletics map. Her performance not only earned her the title but also solidified her promising sports career.
During the competition, Naiala Pedro achieved a time of 24.09 seconds, a mark that not only secured her first place but also became a new record for the U20 championship in this category. This result surpasses her personal best and highlights her consistent progress in the discipline.
The athlete began her training at the age of seven at the Club de Atletismo San Sebastián de los Reyes – Clínica Menorca, demonstrating her talent from an early age. Currently, Naiala Pedro competes with the AD Maratón club, where she continues her development and participation in larger national events.
Following this significant national achievement, the young athlete is now focused on the U20 World Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place this year in Oregon. This international event represents the next major challenge in her career, with the goal of consolidating her performance among the global athletics elite.
