Alcobendas is preparing for its first April Fair, an event that will transform Parque de Andalucía from April 10 to 12 with equestrian shows, live music, and the best of Andalusian gastronomy.

For the first time, the municipality of Alcobendas will host its own April Fair, an initiative aiming to bring the essence of southern Spain's festivities to all its residents. Parque de Andalucía has been chosen as the venue for this three-day event, promising a festive atmosphere with colorful lanterns and casetas designed for family enjoyment. The organization has benefited from the crucial collaboration of local Andalusian associations, ensuring a program that invites participation from all ages.
Music and dance will be central, with sevillanas and guitars providing a constant soundtrack. Attendees can enjoy high-level flamenco dance and singing performances, as well as sevillanas workshops to learn or refine their steps. Additionally, various popular culture exhibitions will offer deeper insights into the roots of these celebrations, keeping the Andalusian spirit alive throughout the park.
Traditional gastronomy will play a key role, offering the opportunity to taste classic dishes reminiscent of Seville's casetas. The aroma of fried foods, fine wines, and traditional tapas will perfectly complement the rociera performances, creating a complete sensory experience that encourages conviviality and a break from daily routines.

The intention is for residents visiting the park to find a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for disconnecting from daily routines.

One of the most anticipated moments will be the equestrian-flamenco show “The Art of Andalusia on Horseback by Carmelo Cuevas” on Sunday, April 12. This exhibition will combine technique and elegance, showcasing Classical Dressage and Haute École. The connection between riders, horses, and bailaoras will culminate with a horse dancing sevillanas alongside a flamenco dancer, promising to be a memorable highlight.
The Alcobendas April Fair aims to be a gathering place for the community, with a program designed for all audiences. From the youngest, who will be amazed by the horses, to the elders, who will enjoy the singing performances, the fair seeks to strengthen community bonds through tradition.
