The celebration will kick off on Friday at 7:00 PM with the route ‘San Marcos, rey de los charcos’ (San Marcos, King of the Puddles), organized by the Historical Heritage area. This tour will guide participants through the most emblematic points of Valdemoro's historic center, directly linked to the San Marcos tradition.
On Saturday, activities will move to Parque Bolitas del Airón, where a new interpretive route will take place as part of the Historic Paths program. From 1:00 PM, the day will be enriched with participatory proposals from local associations, including a drawing and children's face painting contest, a display of bullfighting tools, a bobbin lace exhibition, anti-bullying workshops, and various initiatives from the municipality's clubs.
The Commerce Department will set up inflatable attractions between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, accessible with tickets distributed at participating establishments.
One of the highlights of the festivity will be the traditional San Marcos cake contest, with participation from establishments such as Boutique del pan, Digo pan, Exento sin gluten, Horno de Nuri, Pan de madre tierra, Pastelería Sánchez, Pastelería Delicakes, and Perse Centro de Mayores. There will also be a tortilla contest, featuring Perse Centro de Mayores, Chef Aberani, Casablanca, Tinto y Aparte, Las Infantas, La Plaza, La Tasquita de Sara, El Chule, El Toro, and La Chulapa, solidifying one of the most deeply rooted gastronomic events of this rural celebration.
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste the presented creations, while a jury evaluates the proposals before announcing the winners. The awards ceremony will be conducted by municipal representatives.
