The Móstoles City Council has approved the agreement with the Community of Madrid for the establishment of the Madrid Puerta Oeste Urban Consortium, a strategic project that will develop nearly two million square meters of industrial, logistics, and business land, with a forecast of creating more than 6,000 direct jobs.

The municipal plenary session has given the green light to this significant advancement aimed at transforming the economy of Móstoles, attracting new companies, capturing investments, and multiplying job opportunities. The project covers an approximate area of 1.97 million square meters, of which over 786,000 will be buildable.
The mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, highlighted that this project is an "extraordinary opportunity to attract companies, generate wealth, and create more than 6,000 direct jobs." The goal is for citizens to find the professional opportunities they deserve in their city and for Móstoles to consolidate itself as an economic engine of the Community of Madrid.
The establishment of the Madrid Puerta Oeste Urban Consortium, with 60% participation from the Community of Madrid and 40% from the Móstoles City Council, will expand the land supply for industrial, logistics, and business activities. The agreement includes a municipal contribution of 1,778,000 euros between 2026 and 2028 to support its launch.
Bautista stated that efforts are underway to make Móstoles a city "in which to invest, undertake, and work," and emphasized the collaboration with the Community of Madrid to advance projects of this scale.
Located in sectors SUS-P2, SUS-P3, and SUS-P4 of the city's General Urban Planning Plan, Madrid Puerta Oeste will become the largest industrial park near the capital since Lisbon, thanks to its excellent connectivity with the A-5 and M-50 highways.
