These initiatives aim to offer practical tools to improve coexistence, prevent conflicts, and foster relationships based on respect, listening, and support, responding to the daily challenges faced by educational professionals and families in accompanying children and adolescents.
The first workshop, titled "What's happening in my classroom?", will take place on Wednesday, October 28, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and will be aimed at teachers and the entire educational community. It will feature the participation of Marisa Moya and Laura García Pérez, who will offer tools to detect, prevent, and address conflicts in the educational environment.
The second workshop, "What do I do now?", will be held on Thursday, October 29, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and will be aimed at mothers, fathers, and other caregivers. Laura García Pérez will guide families in facing the daily challenges of parenting and education, with an approach based on good treatment and mutual respect. A free childcare service will be offered during both activities.
The Councilor for Social Services and Elderly, Charo Arroyo, highlighted the importance of prevention and offering resources to those who accompany children and adolescents, emphasizing that "child education and protection are a shared responsibility".
The workshops are part of Organic Law 8/2021, on comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence (LOPIVI), and connect with the Study on Psychological Well-being and Emotional Health presented by the City Council. Training for families and teachers is relevant for recognizing signs of distress and preventing risky situations.
The Department of Social Services and Elderly will continue this line of work, expanding training to build a solid network of protection and good treatment in Coslada. Registration can be done through QR codes or provided links.
