The photograph "Barman", by Dana Ruth Delgado, received the first prize, endowed with 1,000 euros. The image stands out for its long exposure, transforming movement into blurred silhouettes and trails, creating a contrast between the stillness of the architecture and the figure seemingly enjoying a decisive moment.
The second prize, worth 600 euros, was awarded to Raúl Cano for "Las manolas", a photograph reflecting tradition and devotion through the contrast between the white of the mantillas and the black formed by the characters.
The third prize, with 400 euros, went to Alejandro García for "Cuando todo se detiene", a night image capturing the vibrant burst of fireworks.
Additionally, an Honorable Mention, without monetary reward, was given to María José Sánchez for her image "Ven, vamos a disfrutar de las fiestas de Móstoles".
During the award ceremony, the mayor of Móstoles thanked all participants for their involvement and effort, stating that their images "enrich" Móstoles' cultural heritage. He emphasized the City Council's continued commitment to culture and initiatives like this contest, which foster artistic creation, showcase talent, and bring photography closer to all residents.
The event was attended by the mayor, the Councilor for Mobility, Transport, Consumption, and Festivities, Raquel Manjavacas, and the Councilor for Education and Culture, Cristina Molina, along with participants and local residents.
The awarded and selected photographs will be exhibited at the Villa de Móstoles Cultural Center until November 15th.
