The new stop will serve the latest housing developments, located near the Siete Pinos roundabout. This initiative responds to a long-standing demand from neighborhood associations and the Municipal Government of Getafe.
The urban line L4 and interurban line 411 will modify their routes to incorporate this strategic stop. The route will utilize the access from the old M-301 road, facilitating the turn and stop at this point before resuming their usual service.
The Councilor for Mobility, Carlos Enjuto, expressed his satisfaction in meeting this demand, acknowledging that while mobility in Perales faces challenges due to the management of the Community of Madrid, this is a significant step for public transport.
This coverage expansion aims to address the issue of many residents being far from traditional bus stops, a situation exacerbated by recent urban development. Neighborhood associations have pushed for this measure against previous proposals from the Community of Madrid that involved eliminating key stops like the one at the Health Center or the football field.
The local government continues to advocate for the arrival of the Metro to Perales del Río to improve connections with Getafe and Madrid, regretting that the district has once again been overlooked in regional network expansion plans.
