The municipality of Móstoles has closed the month of August with a 1.94% increase in its month-on-month unemployment rate, translating to 174 more people in a state of unemployment. With these figures, the town ends the month with a total of 9,154 unemployed individuals.
Despite this monthly upturn, the year-on-year trend in Móstoles remains positive. Compared to the same month last year, the number of unemployed has decreased by 1.16%, representing 107 people who have found employment over the past year. The current number of unemployed is significantly lower than that recorded at the beginning of 2025, when 9,309 people were counted.
Of the total unemployed in Móstoles, 3,631 are men and 5,523 are women. The evolution of unemployment in the city has been progressive and slightly positive over the last year.
