The Provincial Court of Madrid began its trial this Wednesday for the death of a 42-year-old man, who passed away in November 2021 after being shot in the head while inside a vehicle parked in Getafe.

The incident occurred in November 2021, when a local resident found the victim unconscious inside a car parked near the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium. After being urgently transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital, the man died two days later due to the severe injuries sustained.
The Homicide Unit of the National Police took charge of the investigation, working for months to clarify the circumstances of the crime. Initial inquiries suggested that the shot was fired from inside the vehicle itself, leading to various hypotheses, including a possible settling of scores.
Two defendants are currently on trial. The popular jury was selected last Monday, followed by the preliminary statements from the parties involved. During the upcoming sessions at the Provincial Court of Madrid, arguments will be presented and evidence will be examined to determine criminal responsibility for the events.
