The incident occurred on Purísima Concepción Street in Parla, where the victim sustained a severe blow to the head with a large bar. This impact caused a fatal craniocerebral trauma.
According to the Superior Police Headquarters, the individuals involved fled the scene in a vehicle on the same day of the assault. The investigation, which spanned several months, concluded with the identification and arrest of the three alleged perpetrators.
“"Initial inquiries determined that the altercation began after a discussion between two groups, and glass objects were used in the assault."
Furthermore, it was confirmed that one of the individuals injured another with a wooden stake, typically used to support tree growth in public areas. The victim fell unconscious after the blow and died minutes later. The weapon used was found near the scene of the incident.
The complexity of the investigation stemmed from the lack of data and descriptions of the individuals involved from passersby and neighbors who alerted emergency services. However, the investigation progressed, allowing for the identification of the three alleged perpetrators, who were recognized by friends of the victim.
On April 15, a special operation was launched, culminating in the arrest of the suspects in the Toledo towns of Portillo and Fuensalida, as well as in Albatera, Alicante. After being brought before a judge, the material author of the acts was sent to prison.
