The investigations began in late March after learning of a robbery with violence on the 26th in the Latina district of Madrid. Shortly after, on April 19th, another similar incident occurred in the Ciudad Lineal district. Subsequently, officers linked these events to assaults of a similar nature that took place in early March in Valladolid.
Police inquiries revealed similarities in the modus operandi and the victims of the three incidents. The perpetrators acted in an organized and coordinated manner, entering buildings in the early morning. Once inside, they violently stormed the homes, immobilizing the women with zip ties and threatening them with bladed and firearms while stealing cash, jewelry, and other valuables.
On May 26th, the National Police carried out an operation in Parla, searching the home of one of the suspects and establishing a surveillance operation to locate the other two involved. As a result, three men were arrested, one of them a minor. 35 grams of cocaine, various pieces of jewelry, a precision scale, and clothing used in the crimes were seized.
The arrested individuals are charged with crimes of robbery with violence, illegal possession of weapons, crimes against public health, and belonging to a criminal group.
The two adult detainees have been handed over to the judicial authority, which ordered their imprisonment. The minor has been placed in the care of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
