Two fires in homes in Madrid and Getafe during Sunday night and Monday morning have resulted in three injured people, one of them seriously.

Hours later, in the early morning of Monday, another fire affected a semi-detached single-family home on Tejera Negra street, in the Perales del Río neighborhood, Getafe. Nine fire crews from the Community of Madrid worked to control the flames, which had advanced considerably and incinerated the attic, but they managed to prevent them from spreading to neighboring properties.
As a consequence of this second fire, Summa 112 attended to a 58-year-old man with burns covering approximately 20 percent of his body surface. After receiving initial assistance at the scene, he was evacuated in moderate condition to Getafe Hospital. Additionally, a 54-year-old woman suffered minor burns on one hand and was also taken to the same hospital for assessment and treatment.
