A serious incident occurred early last weekend at the Móstoles Hospital, where Rafael Francisco Hornero Cruz, alias ‘El Niño’, was admitted in critical condition. This individual, known in criminal circles for his involvement in car ramming burglaries in Madrid, had sustained five gunshot wounds to various parts of his body.
The events took place shortly after six in the morning. According to security camera footage, several individuals transported the injured man in a Mercedes vehicle to the vicinity of the hospital. After leaving him at the entrance of the health center, they quickly fled the scene heading towards Toledo. Before losing consciousness, the man managed to say: “They shot me”.
The Police have launched an investigation with multiple lines of inquiry to clarify the circumstances of the shooting. One of the main hypotheses suggests a possible 'vuelco', a term used to refer to the theft of drugs or money within the context of drug trafficking. This possibility could be linked to a prior confrontation in Puente de Vallecas, although the exact details of the attack have not yet been officially confirmed.
Investigators are now working to reconstruct the route of the Mercedes to the hospital and to identify the individuals who transported the injured man. ‘El Niño’ is allegedly connected to the circle of ‘Samuelillo’, another criminal with a history of car ramming burglaries in Madrid, whose gang has been investigated for numerous robberies and violent crimes.
