These funds come from the final settlement of the Participation in State Taxes (PIE) for the year 2024, an amount that has already been paid to the council and is in its treasury.
The budget modification will allow these revenues to be fully dedicated to specific actions. Among the planned investments are €50,000 for the renovation and improvement of Parque del Quiñón, including reforms, access adjustments, and area enhancements.
€47,000 will be allocated to the comprehensive improvement of the median strip on Isaac Peral street, including garden renewal and access adjustments. Additionally, €48,500 will be invested in improving the road connection between Abogados de Atocha street and the service road of the Municipal Sports Center.
Other allocations include €17,500 for furniture for the new Municipal Athletics Track; €15,000 to reinforce Civil Protection equipment; and €15,000 for the purchase of traffic signs.
Also planned are €18,000 for replacing benches and bins in parks and green areas; €16,500 to improve the perimeter and access to CEIP Jorge Guillén school; €11,500 to install air conditioning in the “Los Picapiedra” Nursery; and €10,000 for improvements at the Municipal Swimming Pool.
Finally, €6,892.44 are allocated to technical studies and work for the planning of future municipal projects.
The Department of Finance highlighted the rigor and efficiency in managing these resources, which are already recognized and collected. The councilor stated that 'every additional euro... must translate into a greater capacity to provide services'. The Mayor, Rafael Martínez, affirmed that these investments are 'linked to the daily lives of the residents'.
