The Culture Department of the Pinto City Council has organized a diverse range of activities to refresh the summer, under the slogan ‘Pinto de Verano’. The program includes theater, puppet shows, circus acts, magic, and music, all set to take place in the emblematic lake and riverbank area of Parque Juan Carlos I.
The Councilor for Culture, Víctor Alonso, highlighted that this initiative aims to offer residents high-quality open-air cultural programming, taking advantage of the park's idyllic setting. "It's also an opportunity to enjoy an idyllic location, like the Lake of Juan Carlos I Park, where most of the activities will be held," he stated.
“"Once again, for the late June and July evenings, we offer our residents the best open-air cultural programming with a new edition of ‘Pinto de Verano’. It's also an opportunity to enjoy an idyllic place, like the Lake of Juan Carlos I Park, where the bulk of the activities will take place. The best prelude to the August Patron Saint Festivals."
The program kicks off on June 28th with a concert by the Big Band de Pinto, performing jazz, swing, soul, and Latin music at 9:30 PM by the Ría del Lago. This will be followed on July 3rd, at the same time, by a concert from the Municipal Music Band with a varied repertoire.
Younger audiences will enjoy the puppet show ‘Reciclando cuentos’ (Recycling Stories) on July 4th at 9:00 PM, followed by the son cubano music of Mayelín Naranjo at 10:30 PM, both held in the Ría of Juan Carlos I Park.
July 11th will be a busy day with several activities: the 1st Youth Crafts and Second-Hand Market (from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM), the magic show by Andrés Cañadas (9:00 PM), the fusion of dance and body paint titled ‘Pinto en Vivo’ (Live Pinto) (10:00 PM), and the participatory musical show ‘Conciencia Urbana’ (Urban Consciousness) (8:00 PM), aimed at teenagers.
Family circus entertainment arrives on July 18th with ‘Achús’ at 9:00 PM. Later that evening, at 10:30 PM, attendees can experience ‘1 Piano y 3.000 Velas’ (1 Piano and 3,000 Candles), an intimate and immersive performance.
The month of July concludes on July 25th with two shows: the clown performance ‘Qué disparate’ (What Nonsense) at 9:00 PM and ‘The Tenor’s Dream Gold’, a sonic journey through unforgettable national and international songs at 10:30 PM.
August begins on August 1st with bubble-themed activities: a Bubble Workshop (8:30 PM) to learn bubble-making techniques, followed by ‘La magia de las burbujas’ (The Magic of Bubbles) (10:30 PM), a visual spectacle for all ages.
