This celebration aims to keep alive the deeply rooted customs of Madrid's culture, providing an enjoyable space for all residents of the municipality. The program includes live music, popular dances, and the emblematic chotis, a characteristic musical genre of traditional Madrid festivities.
One of the most anticipated moments will be the distribution of rosquillas (traditional ring-shaped pastries) and lemonade, essential elements of this festivity. Additionally, an excursion through the streets of Pinto has been organized for the same May 14, starting at 9:00 AM, allowing interested participants to learn about the history of San Isidro and the traditional corners of the town. Registrations for this activity can be made at the Santa Rosa de Lima Municipal Center.
“"An opportunity to preserve traditions that have been passed down through generations."
The San Isidro Festival is one of the most prominent events in Madrid's festive calendar, and the Pinto City Council promotes it as a cultural and community activity that brings popular celebrations closer to all citizens. The feast of San Isidro, patron saint of Madrid, commemorates the figure of San Isidro Labrador, a 12th-century farmer known for his humility and the miracles attributed to him.
With this initiative, Pinto once again joins the celebration of a tradition deeply linked to Madrid's identity and cultural heritage.
