The celebrations will kick off on Wednesday, July 15, and run until Monday, July 20. The program, designed for all ages, is the result of the efforts of the Festival Commission, made up of various neighborhood entities and associations, and has the support of the Getafe City Council.
The Councilor for Culture, Luis Domínguez, has encouraged residents to participate in these days of gathering, coexistence, and fun, highlighting the enthusiasm and effort invested by the Festival Commission.
On Thursday, July 16, the feast day of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, a Eucharist and procession will be held. The evening will conclude with a musical performance by the duo ‘Doble Sentido’ and a DJ set at the Fairgrounds.
Friday, July 17, will be dedicated to sports and crafts. It will include semifinals of billiards and petanque, children's painting, an inaugural parade by the Charanga Alianza, and the Proclamation at 11:00 PM by María José Montero García in recognition of her work at the Civic Center.
Saturday, July 18, will start early with the Graffiti Day and the 2nd Solidarity March against Childhood Cancer. The day will feature modern board games with ‘V Perales Juega’, sports tournaments, and a Full Body Master Class. In the afternoon, there will be a Holi Party and a Foam Party, followed by the pop/rock cover band ‘Menos es Más’ and DJ Omar.
Sunday, July 19, will begin with the Bike Festival and children's petanque tournaments. At 2:00 PM, a Popular Paella will be served, followed by the Water Festival, traditional games for neighborhood associations, and the children's show ‘Chup Chup’. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony, the flamenco performance ‘Davidiri’, and fireworks at midnight.
