The municipality of Parla is gearing up to celebrate its traditional 'Fiestas del Agua' (Water Festivals) from June 12 to 16, an event featuring a varied musical lineup and a reinforced security operation.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, June 12, with an opening speech by local writer Isabel González Yagüe. Following this, the fairgrounds will host a concert by the renowned band Los Rebeldes, succeeded by a performance from DJ Daniel Ballesteros.
Saturday, June 13, will feature the presentation of the winning proposal for the eleventh 'Paseo de la Fama' (Walk of Fame), which this year honors bullfighter Cristina Sánchez with an image designed by Walhams Wilver Yajure Reyes. The group ‘La rumba de Pedro Pablo’ will provide entertainment for the event. In the evening, the fairgrounds will come alive with concerts by Moncho Chavea and Moncadita, along with a set by DJ Armín Heidari.
Sunday, June 14, will be dedicated to the traditional 'Fiestas vecinales del Agua' (Neighborhood Water Festivals), organized collaboratively by the neighborhood associations Parla Este, La Laguna, Fuentebella, and Villa de Parla. The musical program will continue with a concert by ‘Los Tropezantes’ and performances by various local music groups.
Monday, June 15, is reserved for the 'Gran Fiesta del Agua' (Grand Water Festival), which will include a children's opening speech, music, and water games, as well as performances by the Municipal Dance School. On Tuesday, June 16, the festivals will conclude with performances by dance groups from regional houses and associations.
Regarding security, over a hundred Local Police officers, supported by personnel from the National Police and volunteers from Civil Protection, will ensure safety at the Fairgrounds. 'Patrol Points' will be established with special surveillance in areas expected to have large crowds, particularly near the Renfe Commuter Train station. Controls for speed, alcohol, and drugs, as well as metal detection, will be conducted.
Additionally, 'Punto Violeta' (Purple Point) and 'Arcoíris' (Rainbow) stations will be available on June 12 and 13 to prevent and report gender-based violence. The Tram will extend its operating hours until 2:00 AM on June 12, 13, and 14.
The program also includes the Luis Alcalá Football Tournament A.D. Parla, scheduled from June 9 to 14, and various cultural activities such as the IX Coral Meeting Villa de Parla and a gathering of bands.
