The General Sub-directorate of Civil Protection, part of the Madrid 112 Security and Emergencies Agency, has announced the updated risk level for the heatwave. This decision is based on the maximum predicted temperatures and the established reference thresholds for the region's three geographical zones.
According to information provided by the Area of Environmental Health Risk Surveillance of the Department of Health, all zones within the Community of Madrid are at level 0, signifying a low risk.
The affected zones include: Sierra de Madrid, Metropolitana y Henares, and Sur, Vegas y Oeste. In all these areas, the risk level remains at Normal (Low Risk).
The risk level was calculated using an algorithm that considers the maximum temperatures forecast for today and the next two days, comparing them against the reference thresholds for each zone.
