The incident occurred at 9:09 AM at the intersection of Doctor Fleming street and Guardia Civil street, when the father, 49, was crossing a pedestrian crossing with the child in his arms. The vehicle's impact caused the boy to fall to the ground, sustaining extremely serious injuries.

SUMMA medical services attended the scene, intubated the child, and airlifted him to the 12 de Octubre Hospital, where he was admitted in very critical condition. The father, meanwhile, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the same hospital.

The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding this unfortunate accident.
