Móstoles Records Largest Unemployment Drop in Nearly Two Years

The Madrid town experienced a 2.6% reduction in the number of unemployed people last April, the best figure in 23 months.

The Móstoles City Council has announced a significant reduction in unemployment in the town during last April, marking the largest decrease in the past 23 months.

The number of unemployed individuals in Móstoles decreased by 2.6% in April, representing the most pronounced drop recorded in almost two years. This positive data aligns with municipal policies focused on promoting employment and fostering entrepreneurship.
During the month of April, a total of 245 people successfully entered the job market, bringing the total number of unemployed to 9,193. Of this group, 3,656 are men and 5,537 are women.
Compared year-on-year with April 2025, the town has seen a reduction of 403 people in unemployment, which translates to a 4.2% decrease.
By sector, the services industry continues to concentrate the majority of the unemployed, with 7,267 people. This is followed by construction, with 708; industry, with 539; and agriculture, with 72.
