The senior population of Pinto and Valdemoro will commemorate the International Day of Older Persons on October 1st with a solidarity march to be held on October 8th, concluding in Valdemoro.

The event, held since 2014, aims to promote outdoor physical exercise, solidarity, and active aging among participants. Funds raised through registrations will be donated this year to the El sueño de Vicky foundation, dedicated to childhood cancer research.
Registrations, which include the purchase of a t-shirt, will be open from September 14th to 25th at the Municipal Senior Center. Participants can reserve a spot on the bus departing at 9:15 AM from the Valdemoro bullring, taking them to the starting point in Pinto's Plaza de la Constitución, where the walk will commence at 10:00 AM.
Each hiker will receive a backpack as a gift. Along the route, which will be at a leisurely pace towards Valdemoro, two refreshment points will be available. Upon completion at Duque de Ahumada park, a snack will be offered, and a raffle of gifts will be held among attendees who deposit their ticket in the designated urns.
T-shirts, costing five euros, can be purchased at the Municipal Senior Center, located at General Martitegui street, 4, from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
